I found a breeder and had him add me to his waiting list for a baby. Yep, a waiting list! There are very few Toucan breeders (which I aspire to be one day) here in the states. The type I'm getting is called a Green Aracari Toucan. It's a very small species that will only get about as big as a large Cockatiel (plus the beak of course). The breeder contacted me a couple days ago with the exciting news that he has three chicks and I'm up on the list. I sent him a deposit but now have to wait a few weeks for them to feather to see if one is a female (what I'm wanting). His name is Peter (darkest one, he's mine) after Peter Furler of the Newsboys.
